I might get some money, but not a "raise"

Since millions of people, like me, are not getting a cost of living raise this year, lawmakers are worried. They should be. They want to help us, but not by giving us a cost of living raise. Apparently there has been no increase in the cost of living, so why give us a cost of living raise? Jerks. Assholes. Stand them all side-by-side and let all of us who are affected kick their asses until our legs give out. Here's a Federal Times news article about the mess.

Oh, by the way, we may still be getting some additional money simply because the lawmakers are worried. But it won't be a raise. It will be a one-time payment of $250.
